the seeds of this album were hijacked from cassettes found in charity shops around brighton, UK. it took over 2 years for them to eventually evolve into their current form.

since i've made hanoi my home i've pushed my music harder than ever before, reaching deeper into technique and texture. working in new musical environments i left behind the true reason i make music, the true reason anyone is involved with it – as a conduit for emotion; to express and process complex, painful or joyful memories.

this little record, my third since i became 'tomes', is an effort to reach back into my heart and spread it across the surface of these sonic spaces.
it's also cautionary tale, outlining my love affair with 'dance music' – such a vague, shallow, and, in the end, uselessly narrow genre title.
